The System of National Accounts (SNA) is a comprehensive and systematic record of the value of all economic activities in a country, including those of businesses buying and selling goods; people and nonprofit organizations receiving and spending money; and the government collecting duties and spending for public goods and services. It is a set of coherent , consistent and integrated set of macroeconomic accounts, balance sheets and tables based on a set of internationally agreed concepts, definitions, classifications and accounting rules.

The SNA is widely used across countries in the world, and is the standard tool for comparing economic performance across countries and periods, and across economic sectors in a single period. It was developed jointly by various international organizations spearheaded by the United Nations Statistical Commission.

The Anguilla Statistics Department is committed to improving the way we work and the services we offer. All National Accounts and Balance of Payments forms for the Annual Business Survey 2012 are now available for download in Adobe’s Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF). Simply click on the title of the form you wish to download; then print it for completion.

ALL businesses must complete a National Accounts (NA) form. The Balance of Payments (BOP) forms are not distributed to all businesses and are geared towards businesses that have transactions with the ‘rest of the world’. So, if you sell goods or offer services to units outside Anguilla or on the flip-side buy goods or services from outside Anguilla, you need to complete this form also. But only include the monies received and/ or spent when transacting with the ‘rest of the world’.

 We would like to remind all businesses that the forms should be returned no later than last working day in February 2013 This survey has the approval of the Executive Council to be carried out under the Statistics Act, Revised Statutes of Anguilla, Chapter S60, which makes the completion of the form mandatory.
