Welcome Welcome to the Official Public Relations Website for the Government of Anguilla. As the Chief Minister of Anguilla, I am delighted to have this site in operation which serves as a forum to provide information and to address the concerns and attitudes of interested persons and stakeholders worldwide relative to Anguilla. I would like to sincerely thank everyone throughout our island-nation and worldwide who generously share their views, concerns, time, offer their encouragement and make varying contributions to the development of Anguilla. The government has consciously created this department of Public Relations because it is committed more than ever to openess, transparency, accountability and good governance. We desire to communicate well and honestly with our citizenry. It is of utmost importance that information be disseminiated adequately and in a timely fashion to meet the needs of all with a focus on promoting informed decsion-making. The government's desire is to empower its citzenry to enter into debates on issues from a platform of knowledge and proper information. This is important because we must work harder than ever to build a bold vision that meets Anguilla's challenges at home and abroad. I call on every person with a vested interest in Anguilla living within, as well as without, to be active citizens, not spectators—to let us work together to improve our communities and empower lives. The time has come to focus our attention and energies on the real-life issues that confront us- education reform, good paying jobs, a stronger economy, healthcare plan that covers more Anguillians at reduced costs, revenue-generation for our country, welfare, and people empowerment. Together we aspire to renew our lives and build our island with vigour. I thank you for taking the time to view this site as we steer the right course. |
