PLANNING APPLICATIONS

*Please note that the following information clause is attached to the decision notice of all building applications in full that are approved with or without conditions:

·          NB. This permission does not in any way constitute a waiver of the need to obtain building permission for this proposed development and any other necessary Government licenses and or permits that may be required.  The applicant is responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses that may be required.

 

2002/384 Amendment, Long Path (69114 B 24) Cable & Wireless

Deferred for:

i.            further public consultation with residents and land owners within the area; and

ii.          the Department of  Physical Planning to erect a notice on site describing the application.

Approved with the following conditions:

i.      The Principal Planning Officer shall be notified at least 48 hours prior to the date and time on which it is proposed to commence any clearing of land and building or engineering operations to which this permission relates. Where 48 hours fall on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the notification should be given on the preceeding working day. All proposed works shall be properly set out for inspection by the Principal Planning Officer or his representative.

ii.    The clearing of vegetation shall only take place in areas indicated by the Principal Planning Officer.

iii.   The proposed bridge linking the two ponds must be constructed of wood and must be constructed in accordance with specifications approved by the Chief Engineer within the Department of Infrastructure and completed to his satisfaction prior to the use of the bridge.

iv.  The proposed bridge should be constructed from a wood that is long lasting and durable and must not be pre-treated in order to eliminate possible seepage into the wetland overtime.

v.    Upon completion of the bridge, either sides of it should be replanted with red mangrove to create a natural screening effect that will be beneficial to the existing and future wildlife.

vi.  The bridge should be constructed between the shortest possible distance so as to have the minimal disturbance and stress on the wetland.

i.         Permission shall be granted for a period of four (4) months effective from 7 July 2003 to 31 November 2003.  Upon expiration of planning permission the use of the land for the display of the sign shall be discontinued unless otherwise agreed upon in writing with the Land Development Control Committee.

ii.       The Department of Infrastructure shall be notified at least 48 hrs prior to the date and time on which it is proposed to erect the sign.  Where 48 hrs would fall on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, the notification should be on the preceding working day.

iii.      The siting and construction of the sign shall be in accordance with the requirements of and to the satisfaction of the Chief Engineer at the Department of Infrastructure.

iv.     The applicant is responsible for the maintenance and condition of the advertisement and must keep it in a clean and undamaged condition.
