MINUTES OF EXTRA ORDINARY MEETINGS HELD IN SEPTEMBER 2004

 

PLANNING APPLICATIONS

NB. This permission does not in any way constitute a waiver of the need to obtain building permission for this proposed development and any other necessary Government licenses and or permits that may be required.  The applicant is responsible for obtaining all necessary licenses that may be required.

 

The Committee met on 8 September 2004.  The following applications were tabled.  The decisions taken are as follows:

 

2004/403                  Change of use from Hardware to Medical Centre, South Hill (08412 B 99)  Dr. Clyde Bryan

Approved

 

2004/401                  Subdivision, North Side (58816 B 342) Winifred Brooks

Deferred for the road network to be redesigned to allow one access onto the Brimegin road.

 

2004/397                  Wall, Barnes Bay (17810 B 29) Robert & Nancy Bean

Approved

 

2004/326                  Hotel, Barnes Bay (17810 B 98,100-102, 109, 112) Barnes Bay Real Estate

Approved subject to the seaward side of zone 5 (from the broken line seawards) shown on the site plan as one distinct parcel rather than being included in the individual villa lots.

N.B The site plan as presented shows the lots identified for “Ocean View Villa” development as extending seaward to the sandy portion of the beach. This goes against the established Government of Anguilla policy regarding the sale of beach land to foreigners to build houses.

 

The meeting concluded and resumed on the 9th September 2004.  The following applications were tabled.  The decisions taken are as follows:

 

2004/340                  Subdivision, Junks Hole (99518B/12) Peter Adams & Ermine Plotkin

Deferred for consultation with a Government agency.

 

2004/342                   Subdivision, Captains Bay (99619B/14) Peter Adams & Ermine Plotkin

Deferred for consultation with a Government agency.

 

 

 

 

 

The meeting concluded and resumed on the 13th September 2004.  The following application was tabled.  The decision taken is as follows:

 

2004/413   Spa & Gym, Maundays Bay (17808 B 2 & 3) Cap Juluca Hotel

Approved subject to:

i.                     Certificate B being filled out correctly;

ii.                   three (3) additional copies of the plans  being submitted;

iii.                  literature/specifications being submitted on the proposed method of construction; and

iv.                 the scale to be stated on the location map and the site plan

 

Another meeting of the Committee was convened on 22nd September 2004 and the following application was tabled.  The decision taken is as follows:

 

2004/408 Asphalt Plant, South Hill (28211 B) C.O Williams Construction Ltd

Deferred for a proper application to be presented, which includes:

a)      Section C of the application form to be completed;

b)     the block and parcel number to be stated on the application form;

c)      the application to be submitted in triplicate form;

d)     a proper location plan to be presented; and

e)      discussion with the agent regarding the siting of the plant.

 

Another meeting of the Committee was convened on 27th September 2004 and the following applications were tabled.  The decisions taken are as follows:

Approved with the following condition

Lots 11, 10, 7 & 3 abutting the sandy beach must be used for tourism development.

Approved with the following condition:

Lot 7 abutting the sandy beach must be used for tourism development.
